Montage Vehicle Innovations was founded by an inventor with over 50 years of experience in the car wash industry. From a young age, he was captivated by the mechanics of car washes, often tinkering and fixing equipment at his uncle’s car wash. At 12 years old, he started working on a local chicken farm, saving every penny. By the age of 20, he had saved $25,000—not for a house, but to buy his first car wash.

When he began, the vacuums were just 10 cents, and wash bays were 25 cents. But there was no automatic wash, which sparked his drive for innovation. In 1979, during a night shift driving a truck, he met Elliott Goldstein, who introduced him to Dan Hanna at the Chicago Car Wash Convention. That meeting led to the creation of an automatic wash system with Hanna equipment, and a partnership that would continue to grow.

Over the years, our founder’s experience led to many successes—and some failures—but it was all part of his drive to create the best. After decades of work, he perfected the first heavy-duty truck wash system, installed and running continuously in Riverview, Florida, for over 18 months with zero failures.

Revolutionizing the Conveyor Industry

Our innovative conveyor systems have been rigorously tested by a team of the industry’s leading engineers. They set a benchmark for deflection: 8060 lbs per linear foot. At this weight, there was no deflection. The system was then tested under even heavier loads, and deflection occurred only at 13,997 lbs—less than 1/16th of an inch. That’s the equivalent of a 200,000 lb vehicle on the conveyor, a feat unheard of in the industry.

In addition to its strength, our system dramatically reduces friction. Whereas a typical RCV conveyor with a 100’ length has over 292,000 friction points, our design cuts that down to just 375. This results in an incredibly robust and reliable system that outperforms anything else on the market.
