ABOUT MVI
Montage Vehicle Innovations was started buy our founder and Inventor. He has been involved in the car wash business for over 50 years. His uncle owned a car wash and he would tinker and fix things as a young boy. At 12 years old he started working at a local chicken farm and started saving all his money. By the age of 20 he was able to save $25,000. He went out out looking to buy a house and found a car wash for sale and bought that instead. When he started, the vacuums were 10 cents and the wash bays were 25 cents. But he didn’t have an automatic wash. In 1979, while driving a truck for night work he bumped into Elliott Goldstein who knew Dan Hanna. He called Dan Hanna and Dan asked him to meet in Chicago Car Wash Convention to talk about an automatic wash. He walked into the convention and everything was Hanna equipment. Dan introduced him to Miles Murdoch and Art Garnella President of Hanna (1960 Art sold the very first car wash conveyor). Miles wrote up and financed a deal on a full automatic car wash. 50 years later and after a world of successes and failures, he has perfected and produced the first working heavy duty truck wash located in Riverview, Florida. This system has been up and running continuously with no failures for 18 months
Our conveyors and wash systems were tested by a group of the leading engineers in this field. The requirement was a 1/2 inch deflection of the belt at 8060lbs/per linear foot. When the engineers reached the benchmark of 8060lbs, there was no deflection in the belt. They then kept increasing the weight and the first deflection came at 13,997 lbs and the belt only deflected 1/16th of an inch. This equates to more than a 200,000lb vehicle over the span of the conveyor. That is unprecedented and unheard of in the conveyor business. He was also able to reduce the points of friction from over 292,000 for the typical RCV conveyor 100′ long down to 375 points of friction. Not only is this system the most robust and heavy duty than any other conveyor on the market, it also becomes the most reliable.
Keep an eye out for us. We just launched in February of 2025 at the Florida Truck Show in Fort Lauderdale. The demand for this has been overwhelming and we are starting the construction of our very first orders. Come and join us in this journey. The early adopters of this technology will be on the forefront of this revolution.
